Lukas Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Lukas chatbot platform available at lukaslabs.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website or services.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up for a Lukas account, we collect your name, email address, and business information you provide during setup.

Usage data: We log platform interactions, including chat sessions and token usage, to operate and improve the service.

Payment information: Billing is processed through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes. Stripe’s privacy policy governs payment data.

Chat visitor data: Visitors who interact with a Lukas-powered chat widget on a client’s website may submit their name, email, phone number, or other contact details as part of lead capture or booking. This data is stored on behalf of the client and is subject to the client’s own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, operate, and improve the Lukas platform.
To send transactional emails (account setup, billing receipts, trial reminders).
To send promotional emails about new Lukas features and offers — only to users who have not opted out.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Tenant Lead Data

We do not use, sell, or share data collected by your Lukas-powered chat widget for our own marketing purposes. Lead and visitor data captured through your widget belongs to you (the client). We access it only to display it in your dashboard, operate the service, or as required by law.

4. AI Processing

Chat messages may be sent to OpenAI’s API to generate responses. OpenAI’s data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. We do not use OpenAI’s “training on your data” opt-in.

5. Email Communications & Unsubscribe

We collect your email address when you create a Lukas Labs account. We use this address to send service-related and, where permitted, promotional emails. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by visiting lukaslabs.ai/unsubscribe.

We honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Transactional messages (billing, security) may still be sent regardless of opt-out status.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with:

Stripe — payment processing.
OpenAI — AI response generation.
Microsoft Azure — hosting infrastructure.
Law enforcement or regulators when legally required.

7. Data Retention

We retain account data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation, then delete or anonymize it. Chat logs are retained for 12 months by default.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, encrypted credential storage (AES-256), and session-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
